Metrocrest Democrats meeting
Please join us for our next meeting at:
New New Buffet
3822 Belt Line Rd., Addison, TX 75001.
(Southeast corner of Marsh Lane and Beltline Rd. at
the east end of the shopping area that includes Kroger.)
Please come early if you plan to eat, the program will begin at 7:00pm.
Metrocrest Democrats is honored to host:
Houston attorney Chris Hollins. Chris served as the Interim Harris County Clerk for the 2020 Election, and implemented innovative ideas to get voters to the polls in 2020, including mailing absentee ballots to all Harris County residents, drive-through and 24-hour voting. These measures expanded access to voting for registered voters resulting in the record-breaking voter turnout. In response, Governor Gregg Abbott, Lt Governor Dan Patrick, and the Republican-dominated Texas Legislature spent the 2021 Texas Legislative session focused on making sure Texans don't enjoy the kind of access to democracy envisioned by Chris Hollins and his team.
We will also simultaneously Zoom the meeting and the link is https://us02web.zoom.us/j/8177983030
The restaurant has a large private room that holds close to 100 people, so it is easy to spread out, strong>With the increasing availability of the vaccine and the general reopening of society we think it is possible for people to safely attend. The restaurant has plexiglass shields over the buffet and fresh plastic gloves available for each visit to the buffet.
